Bodies are both affected and the affect. In the context of reviewing the meanings of the body, the embodiment and corporealities around the world, relationships between individual and collective bodies, determined by health issues, emerge as a fundamental perspective. To have the objectives achieved, government policies must contemplate aspects that are beyond economic factors and seek scientific support for making decisions that involve the health of the population in countries and in the world. When we talk about the human being, we talk about bodies, the right to health and citizenship. Then it is important to discuss more about bodies and your place on the pandemic context in the XXI century. We agree with Le Breton's writings: The body is a particularly propitious subject for an anthropological analysis, as it fully belongs to the identifying strain of man [of the human being]. Without the body, which gives it a face, man would not exist. Living consists of continually reducing the world to its body, based on the symbolic it embodies. The existence of man [of the human being] is corporeal. And the social and cultural treatment of which the body is an object, the images that expose its hidden thickness, the values that distinguish it, also speak to us of the person and the variations that his definition and ways of existence know, of a structure the other. Because it is at the heart of individual and collective action, at the heart of social symbolism, the body is a far-reaching object of analysis for a better understanding of the present (LE BRETON, 2016, p. 8-9) . One of the implications of the new dynamics on the present time are the online events, which allows the integration of participants from different parts of the world, despite some limiting factors. However, reinforcing the role of potentializer and socializer of knowledge, RC 54 - The Body in the Social Science from International Sociological Association launches its POST FORUM “BODIES IN THE PANDEMIC CONTEXT”, which will be held from 02 to 04 September 2021, in partnership with the following institutions: o International Sociology Association (ISA) o Work and Thematic Group “Body and Culture” – Brazilian College of Sport Sciences (CBCE) / Brazil o Physical Education Post Graduted Program – University of Brasilia/Brazil o NOVA University Lisbon/Portugal o Université de Strasbourg/France A pandemia decorrente do COVID 19 afeta diretamente os corpos das pessoas, seja pelo que representa a doença e suas consequências à saúde da população mundial, seja pelas dinâmicas do distanciamento social por ela suscitado. Os corpos são afetados e afetam. No contexto da revisão dos sentidos do corpo, dos modos e das corporeidades ao redor do mundo, as relações entre os corpos individuais e coletivos, determinadas pelas questões de saúde, surgem como uma perspectiva fundamental. Para que os objetivos sejam alcançados, as políticas governamentais devem contemplar aspectos que vão além dos fatores econômicos e buscar respaldo científico para a tomada de decisões que envolvam a saúde da população nos países e no mundo. quando falamos do ser humano, falamos dos corpos, do direito à saúde e da cidadania. Em seguida, é importante discutir mais sobre os corpos e seu lugar no contexto da pandemia no século XXI. Concordamos com Le Breton ao destacar o lugar ocupado pelo corpo: O corpo é um tema particularmente propício a uma análise antropológica, porquanto pertence de pleno direito à estirpe identificadora do homem [do ser humano]. Sem o corpo, que lhe dá um rosto, o homem não existiria. Viver consiste em reduzir continuamente o mundo ao seu corpo, a partir do simbólico que ele encarna. A existência do homem [do ser humano] é corporal. E o tratamento social e cultural de que o corpo é objeto, as imagens que lhe expõem a espessura escondida, os valores que o distinguem, falam-nos também da pessoa e das variações que sua definição e seus modos de existência conhecem, de uma estrutura social a outra. Porquanto está no cerne da ação individual e coletiva, no cerne do simbolismo social, o corpo é um objeto de análise de grande alcance para uma melhor apreensão do presente (LE BRETON, 2016, p. 8-9) . Uma das implicações das novas dinâmicas do tempo presente é a realização de eventos de forma virtual, o que possibilita a integração de participantes de diferentes partes do mundo; apesar de alguns fatores limitantes. Porém, reforçando o papel de potencializador e socializador do conhecimento o RC 54 - The Body in the Social Science from International Sociological Association lança seu POST FORUM “BODIES IN THE PANDEMIC CONTEXT”, que será realizado de 02 a 04 de setembro de 2021, em parceria com as seguintes instituições: o Associação Internacional de Sociologia (ISA) o GTT Corpo e Cultura do Colégio Brasileiro de Ciências do Esporte (CBCE)/Brasil o Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação Física/Universidade de Brasília/Brasil o Universidade NOVA Lisboa/Portugal o Université de Strasbourg/França
